Wildlife biologist and tropical forest ecologist Dr Wong Siew Te has been associated with a wide range of animals since childhood. Dr Wong’s love for animals started from keeping all sorts of house pets and exotic pets in his childhood to the study of livestock, animal husbandry, and veterinary in his early twenties, followed by wildlife research in Taiwan, Montana (USA), Peninsular Malaysia, and Borneo, and eventually founding and managing Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre. In this talk, Dr Wong will share his personal stories of working with various animal species for more than five decades.
