Beyond its major expeditions, The Sabah Society regularly organises field trips and short excursions to remarkable destinations across Sabah. These journeys, whether a single day or a weekend, provide members and their families with the chance to explore Sabah’s landscapes, heritage, and communities in a setting that is both relaxed and educational.

Many trips also include opportunities for overnight stays or camping, creating memorable outdoor experiences that foster a deeper appreciation for nature. In line with the Society’s mission to promote knowledge of Sabah’s culture, history, arts, and natural sciences, as well as those of neighbouring countries, these field trips serve as living classrooms. They allow participants to learn not only from guides and experts but also through direct engagement with the environment and local communities.

Each excursion is carefully curated to encourage discovery, connection, and shared experiences, strengthening both knowledge and camaraderie among members. These trips reflect the Society’s ongoing commitment to its mission to know Sabah by exploring its many facets firsthand.
