In June 2018, the Centre for Ethnobotany and the complementary approximately 1 hectare Ethnobotany Garden was opened at the Singapore Botanic Gardens. This illustrated talk provides an introduction to this facility. The focus of the centre is primarily South-East Asia including Borneo. Aims, objectives, exhibits and research in the Centre will be covered.
Dr S.K. Ganesan is Principal Researcher (Plant Taxonomy) & Director, Centre for Ethnobotany at the Singapore Botanic Gardens. He holds a PhD in the Plant Sciences from the University of Aberdeen and an MSc (Distinction) from the University of Edinburgh in the Biodiversity and Taxonomy of Plants.
