Join us for ‘Artists as Ambassadors: Representation and Misrepresentation of Sabahan Identity in Art’ by Jared Abdul Rahman this coming Thursday, April 28, at 8:00pm, at the Sabah Society Secretariat.
 
In this talk, the speaker will discuss elements of Sabahan identity, and how these are represented, as well as misrepresented, in art.

Jared Abdul Rahman is a community art facilitator who believes that art serves as an effective medium for community causes. He has co-facilitated community art exhibitions, workshops and forums, and has also served as moderator for a number of art-centric panel discussions. Jared has an academic research background in geography, the interdisciplinary bridge between art and science.
