DESCRIPTION:Dear all\,\n \nOnce again we have reached the end of the year and the committee members would want to say THANK YOU!!!!!! For the support all of you have shown throughout the year as we organise various talks and outdoor activities. Therefore\, before we leave 2019 and step into 2020\, let us have a gathering and fellowship together. \n \nWe are planning to have a fellowship dinner this coming Saturday\, 21 Dec 2019 at Robert’s B & B at Mile 14… it will be RM 15 each and what you will get is a sample of all the committee’s cooking skills! The highlight would be Dr Wong Siew Te’s Char Kueh Teoy right on the spot!\n \n So for those who are interested please register ASAP through email with me. SUMMARY:Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2019
DESCRIPTION:The Sabah Society Committee 2018/2019 will present and discuss the past year events as well as financial report. We will also go through last year’s AGM minutes and finally the highlight will be the election of the Office Bearers & Committee Members 2019.\n\nDo renew your memberships to ensure voting rights for those eligible according to the Constitution. As per constitution\, life members and ordinary members are eligible for voting. Student membership are reserved for observation.\n\nAs it is the new year 2019\, it is also time for Ordinary (RM 75) and Student members (RM30) to renew their memberships so that you can continue enjoying the benefits of subsidized fieldtrips and usage of The Sabah Society library. Members also will receive a free e-journal The Sabah Society. We will be sending last years’ issues before the AGM and greatly apologize to all members for the delay. There has been some technical issues with The Sabah Society Website and we are currently updating it.\n\nYour attendance is required to ensure there is enough quorum for an AGM. If you have a burning passion to contribute to The Sabah Society\, please let us know as well so networking can already begin:) We are also in need of a new Hon. Secretary as this is my last term to volunteer as I would like to concentrate on my own personal commitments. Therefore\, if you would like to volunteer in this capacity\, do show up for the AGM.\n\nSo please support The Sabah Society AGM to ensure your dreams and aspirations for The Sabah Society to live up to its motto “To Get to Know Sabah” will be fulfilled. Just a gentle reminder that The Sabah Society is made up of volunteers and that is you and I\, so do contribute your time to ensure the success of The Sabah Society.
