DESCRIPTION:It’s good to be back at the secretariat!\n \nJoin us for ‘Artists as Ambassadors: Representation and Misrepresentation of Sabahan Identity in Art’ by Jared Abdul Rahman this coming Thursday\, April 28\, at 8:00pm\, at the Sabah Society Secretariat.\n \n\n\nIn this talk\, the speaker will discuss elements of Sabahan identity\, and how these are represented\, as well as misrepresented\, in art.\n\n\n \nThis will be streamed on Zoom and Facebook too. However\, kindly let us figure out the tech on this. Otherwise\, we will see you!\n \nJared Abdul Rahman is a community art facilitator who believes that art serves as an effective medium for community causes. He has co-facilitated community art exhibitions\, workshops and forums\, and has also served as moderator for a number of art-centric panel discussions. Jared has an academic research background in geography\, the interdisciplinary bridge between art and science.\n\n \n\n
