Four days trekking up and into the stunning Maliau Basin in Sabah, and then out again, is not for the faint hearted! Aside from the very steep ascent into and descent out of the Basin, which can challenge even the fittest, there are literally thousands of Tiger and Brown leeches waiting to pounce – the The annual Murut Festival will take place at the Murut Cultural Centre in Tenom from Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th April. One of our members, Jane Green, who lives in a village near Tenom, very kindly invites members who wish to attend this festival to camp in her garden.
