For those members of the Sabah Society who would like to witness the century old ritual ceremony, and at the same time “flag” off the ladies on their climb of Mt Kinabalu. A package has been arranged for Sabah Society members, which is inclusive of dinner, a light supper (maybe boiled ubi kayu), bed and As the first event in The Sabah Society’s Golden Jubilee year, we are very pleased to welcome the six women from The Sabah Society who will be attempting to re-trace the original route taken by Lilian Gibbs and her team during their ascent of Mount Kinabalu. The ladies will be presenting a slide show explaining some of Lilian Gibbs was the first woman to climb Mount Kinabalu completing her ascent on February 24th, 1910.
