The Sabah Society is planning an overnight trip to Sabah Tea Garden on Sat. Sept. 25, 2010. If you have never been to Sabah Tea Garden before, it is really a Must Do. And if you’ve been before, isn’t it time you revisited? That’s how I felt one blistering hot day in KK recently as I reminisced about one of my previous visits to the Tea Gardens. There is something so wonderful about sipping a cup of tea on the Tea Garden’s restaurant verandah, enjoying the cool air at the foot of Mt. Kinabalu, gazing out over 6,000+ acres planted in lush, green tea: Camellia Sinensis to be exact.
Sabah Tea Garden is the only certified organic tea farm in Borneo, and one of the few, in fact in the entire world! Our trip to this unique spot will include a special program guaranteed to be educational and fun: Jungle trekking up Kamunsu Hill to learn about the flora and fauna of the Borneo Rainforest, Obstacle Course (for those intrepid souls), a refreshing swim in the cool mountain river, Tour of the Tea Factory, Batik Painting, and Fish Massage!
Does this sound appealing? If so, we need to know by August 27 who is interested, as prices will be cheaper if we have a group of 15 or more persons. please call the office to register or complete the contact form here stating number of people in your party, your accommodation choice and “Lets Do Tea” in the Subject.
