Sabah Society is organizing a climb to the summit of Mt Kinabalu on Jan 13-15, 2012 through the tourist trail from Timpohon. Prof. Steve Oakley will give a Talk on Sharks and their protection in the waters in north west Borneo. Mr Hiew Chee Wah will give an illustrated talk about his recent safari trip to Kenya, covering Amboseli National Park, Lake Nakuru National Park, Aberdare National Park, TreeTop Lodge, Walking Safari & Marina, Hot Air Balloon over Masai Mara, Mara River, Masai Mara Village. Brief note about the Speaker: Hiew Chee Wah graduated in Computer Photographs, by Flanegan Bainon Flanegan, who specializes in Portraiture and Documentary Photography, talked about his aims when taking photographs for his Series This is Sabah, describing his reasons for capturing that particular moment. These could be historical – recording a moment from a way of life which is fast disappearing, geographical – recording a feature

Come along on the Sabah Society’s next trip and you’ll discover that this fascinating area has so much more to offer.
