The Borneo Bird Festival will be held at the Rainforest Discovery Centre (RDC), Sepilok Sandakan, Sabah. This event will take place from 15 – 17 October 2010. The RDC is a centre for environmental education situate within the famous Kabili-Sepilok Forest Reserve. For the birding enthusiasts there will be photography competition, the Borneo Bird Race, Mr Nicholas Chung will be giving a presentation titled “Under the Borneo Sun – A Tawau Story” at the Sandakan Yacht Club, Jalan Sim-Sim, Sandakan on Friday 25th June, 2010 at 7:45 pm. Prominent Malaysian botanist and horticulturist, Dr. Francis Ng, was in Sandakan to share his experience in creating and maintaining a colourful garden throughout the Danau Girang (DG), none of us knew where it was, except perhaps Robert Ong and Arthur Chung. The name itself evokes happiness in us even before we set off for another exciting Sabah Society weekend escapade to this place somewhere in Kinabatangan.
