Bro. Peter Phelan, a long time member of The Sabah Society, passed away on 27th February at Co. Leix, I

His teaching career in Sabah began in 1963 in La Salle Secondary School in Tanjung Aru. He later became Principal of St Martin’s, Tambunan, returned briefly to Kota Kinabalu but moved back to the Interior

Professor Kamarudin Mat-Salleh

It is with regret that the Society informs its members of the passing of Professor Kamarudin Mat Salleh, one of its long time members,  on 9th November, 2009.

Prof. Kamarudin was an active and much appreciated member of the Society for many years, was the author of the book  “Rafflesia – Magnificent Flower of Sabah”,
