For those members of the Sabah Society who would like to witness the century old ritual ceremony, and at the same time “flag” off the ladies on their climb of Mt Kinabalu. A package has been arranged for Sabah Society members, which is inclusive of dinner, a light supper (maybe boiled ubi kayu), bed and Lilian Gibbs was the first woman to climb Mount Kinabalu completing her ascent on February 24th, 1910. Lilian Gibbs arrived in British North Borneo at the end of December, 1909. She was advised by the Governor, Mr. H.P. Guerlitz, to defer her ascent of Mt.
