TSS Sdkn talk: Sunday, 27th May 2018 – How do we meet the needs of wildlife, tourists, tour operators and the local community?

Dear all,

After the wonderful trip in March and a pretty busy April month, we are now in the wonderful month of May! If you have not checked out our FB lately, you might want to drop by to check out the 2 cool clips. One is from BBC Earth on Pangolins and the other is no other but the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre’s video on the release of 2 of their rescued bears! Debbie and Damai!

Aside from FB postings, for this month we are working together with Sandakan Tourism Association in holding a talk on the topic of “A Delicate Balance: How do we meet the needs of Wildlife, Tourists, Tour Operators and the Local Community?” by Dr Ronda Green. Based on the report prepared by the Sabah Tourism Board, from Jan to March of 2018, the state has received 947, 621 visitors (both local and international), and the total number of visitors for last year was 3.6 million people. So with this large number of visitors and populations within the State, how can we struck a balance?

So if you want to find out more, come and join us!

Date: 27th May 2018
Time: 7.30 p.m.

See ya there!~

Have a blessed weekend!
